Suture Method

This method involves creating a natural-looking crease using small holes and sutures, without making any incisions in the eyelid. Epicanthoplasty

Recovery

After the surgery, it is common to experience some swelling and redness around the eyes. This is completely normal and can be treated with cold compresses or ice packs to help reduce the swelling. Dr. Fan will give you detailed instructions to follow to ensure a smooth recovery.

Mild pain may be experienced, which is usually managed with over-the-counter pain medication or pain medication prescribed to you by Dr. Fan. Swelling may temporarily impact your vision and appearance, but it will subside as the tissue softens.

The most pronounced swelling is typically observed on the first or second morning after the surgery. However, with proper care and adherence to your surgeon's instructions, the swelling will gradually decrease in the following days and weeks.

Recovery time can vary, with most patients requiring a few days to a week off work to allow for adequate rest and healing. It is important to avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting during this time to promote proper healing.
