How Regenerative Treatments Works

Regenerative medicine treatments, whether for the face or body, harness the science of replacing, engineering, or regenerating human cells, organs, and tissues to restore or establish normal function and form. To do this, we use cells, tissues, drugs, or synthetic biomaterials and devices to help patients heal more effectively from trauma, cancer therapy, other diseases, or birth abnormalities and to help these heal and form new tissue.

Platelet-Rich (PRP) Injection

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections use natural growth factors found in the blood cells to help heal damaged tissues produced from a patient’s own blood. We take a concentration of one type of blood cell and inject it into the desired—typically an injured or diseased—site to accelerate healing of damaged tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones, or joints. This can reduce the need for opioids and over-the-counter medicine. Tubes of blood are taken and run through a centrifuge to separate the blood into its various components. Then it’s concentrated from anywhere to 2-8x their normal number and mixed into a blood plasma liquid base before being injected directly into the area of injury. This can help with things such as minor rotator cuff issues or torn Achilles tendons. It is considered to be superior to hyaluronic acid.

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) Injection

A stromal vascular fraction (SVF) injection uses a type of adipose tissue procedure that is a rich mixture of cells obtained from the body’s adipose tissue to generate or treat tissues. It contains stem cells, connective tissue cells, lymphocytes,, and other cellular components. This injection can be used to reduce the signs of aging, treat joint disorders or accelerate wound healing. It’s done by collecting adipose tissue through nonsurgical methods, before the tissue is processed, cleaned through a specialized technique. The fat cells are separated from other cell types. Then the injection is done by inserting the rich cell mixture into the targeted area under local anesthesia.

Stem Cells

Stem cells play a pivotal role in regenerative medicine, especially in the field of nonsurgical cosmetic body treatments. These treatments harness the regenerative potential of stem cells to enhance and rejuvenate the skin and body without the need for invasive surgery.

In nonsurgical cosmetic body treatments, stem cells are often used for their ability to promote tissue regeneration and repair. Adipose-derived stem cells, which are harvested from the patient's own fat tissues, are commonly utilized. These cells are rich in regenerative properties and can be isolated and concentrated for use in various cosmetic procedures.

One application of stem cells in cosmetic treatments is through their inclusion in fat grafting procedures. This involves extracting excess fat from one part of the body, isolating the stem cells from that fat, and then injecting the enriched fat into areas that may benefit from augmentation or rejuvenation. This process not only adds volume but also stimulates the production of collagen and enhances skin texture.

In addition to fat grafting, stem cells are also incorporated into various nonsurgical cosmetic treatments such as microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Microneedling procedures involve creating tiny punctures in the skin to stimulate collagen production, and the addition of stem cells can amplify the regenerative effects. PRP therapy, which uses the patient's own concentrated platelets, can be enhanced with stem cells to promote tissue repair and rejuvenation.

The use of stem cells in nonsurgical cosmetic body treatments represents a cutting-edge approach to achieve natural-looking results with minimal downtime. As research in regenerative medicine progresses, the integration of stem cells in cosmetic procedures continues to evolve, offering patients innovative and effective options for enhancing their appearance.

Peptide Therapy

Peptides are the building blocks of amino acids and are pieces of protein that naturally occur in the body to provide pain relief and accelerate the healing process. They also help with hormone production. In restorative therapy, peptides restore the number of peptides within the body to improve certain biological functions by stimulating cellular regrowth.

It’s administered into the bloodstream through injections, nasal sprays, oral supplements, or topical creams. Peptide therapy can also help build muscle mass, improve sleep quality, increase energy and stamina, boost hormone levels and improve sexual function while promoting healthy immune function, stimulating hair growth, and enhancing cognitive function and memory. It also helps to boost hormone levels, improve sexual function, and reverse symptoms of sexual dysfunction.

Exosome Therapy

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSC) exosomes are small extracellular vesicles released by adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells a type of multipotent stromal cells found in fat tissue that has been found to possess regenerative, anti-inflammatory, angiogenic and immunomodulatory properties which make them promising candidates for treating a wide range of conditions including tissue injury, degenerative diseases, and inflammatory disorders. Exosome therapy works by helping the tissue repair and regenerate, healing wounds, with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects and generates neuroprotection. It can also help with body performance and has anti-aging properties.
